Healing Ministry

The International Order of St. Luke the Physician - A Healing Ministry of Region VII

Oasis of Healing (OSL) - NW Chapter, Las Vegas, NV

The OSL began its healing ministry in the 1930s. Nevada is part of region VII. Our home church is Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 6670 W. Cheyenne Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89108. We established this chapter in 2007. Pastor Paul Hansen is the spiritual leader of our chapter.

In this healing ministry, we believe all healing comes from God. The Order of St. Luke is ecumenical in its organization and devoted to the Christian healing ministry with members throughout North America and the world. Web site: www.orderofstluke.org

Membership dues are yearly and include a study program ending in induction as a full member. Members of the chapter conduct healing services and workshops during the year.

Meetings are held at our home church on the first and third Mondays at 7pm. For further information call Holy Spirit Lutheran Church at 702 645-1777, or Lee at 702 396-5091 or email Lee at leebrand1@aol.com

Personal Prayer Requests

Opening God's power of healing through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Where do we begin to find healing and hope to change the direction of our life and those we care about?  Waiting until things get worse is not one of them.  Waiting till we are really sick to see the doctor or coming to God as the last resort is not wise either.  We are always in need of a personal relationship with our Lord.  Our times of need may be strengthened by other prayer partners who are willing to help us through our struggles, comforters willing to be our prayer support who understand the caring compassion our Lord brings to us.  Listening to and interceding for us with prayer, brings the comfort and hope of God's healing to our life, strengthening our faith.

Prayer Vigils

During special holidays members of the congregation volunteer to pray for our church, it's members, special prayer requests and of course, praise God for the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ!

Prayer Chain

A group of prayer intercessors who faithfully pray for prayer requests submitted by the congregation and friends of Holy Spirit.

Leadership Prayer Team

A team of 42 people who pray daily for those in leadership at Holy Spirit (pastors, staff and team leaders).  They get together quarterly for a continental breakfast and fellowship.

Prayer for May

Our Lord and Father, we praise you for providing us with the ability to serve you in ways you have chosen for each of us. Within each of us your gifts wait to be opened or expanded for the good of all. Help us to cast aside worries about time, competence, and resources and know that you provide all that we need to meet our daily requirements and to serve you. We pray that the Holy Spirit helps us recognize and rejoice in our uniqueness and grow in us the passion to serve others to your glory: Come Holy Spirit, come. Amen

If you have a prayer request, please e-mail it to: info@holyspiritlc.org
